CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball used a strong offensive attack in game one and some timely hitting in game two to sweep a Saturday doubleheader on walk-offs at Hayes Stadium 9-8 (F8) and 5-4 Saturday afternoon. The 49ers moved to 6-1 in C-USA play and 17-9 overall after taking their second consecutive C-USA series to open the conference schedule.

Carson Johnson led the way for the Niners as he reached base five times, the first coming on a single to right centerfield; he later came around to score on an RBI double by Gino Groover to get the Niners on the board first.
