CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball captured their second doubleheader sweep of the season topping Kent State 1-0 in the opener followed by a 7-2 victory in the nightcap Saturday at Hayes Stadium. Matt Brooks provided the pitching while Josh Haney came up clutch in game one while the entire Niners offense shined in game two.
"Today was a really good day," started Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "We beat a good team today, they were hot coming in. Matt Brooks was outstanding in the first game, we moved around better and had better at bats as time went on.
