The Charlotte 49ers (10-9, 2-1 C-USA) were unable to complete the three-game sweep on the opening weekend of C-USA play as the host Old Dominion Monarchs (13-5, 1-2 C-USA) took the series finale, 10-0, at the Bud Metheny Baseball Complex, Sunday afternoon. The 49ers were only able to muster four total hits in the contest after collecting double-digit hits ine the series' first two wins. The loss is the first for the 49ers in C-USA action, this year.
Old Dominion got on the board in the third inning to take an early 3-0 advantage and never looked back.
