CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Coppin State used a game-saving catch and six-run seventh inning in game one to score a 9-3 victory before Charlotte bounced back to even the series with a 7-3 victory in the nightcap of Saturday's doubleheader. Harris Yett led the 49ers finishing a home run shy of the cycle in game two completing his four-hit afternoon.
"We didn't play well enough in the first game," began Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "We need to play significantly better tomorrow than what we played today and that's what we talked to the kids about after the game.
