DENTON, Texas – Charlotte Softball prevailed victorious against North Texas on Sunday afternoon after defeating the Mean Green 5-3 to secure the series win in the opening weekend of American Conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After nearly two hours of delay due to unstable field conditions, Charlotte and North Texas eventually got to take the field for the deciding game of a three game series which began on Friday with a double header.
Charlotte struck first, scoring in the top of the second when Jenna Lord came home on a productive groundout from Savanna Nguyen.
