CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After an exciting opening night to the series which included thirteen combined homers across two games, Charlotte and ECU dueled it out for the series win Saturday afternoon which saw the Niners leave on top, 5-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pirates began game three right where they left off Friday night when Emma Jackson ripped her fourth home run of the series to straight center to give the Pirates a quick 1-0 lead in the top of the first. ECU followed up the next inning scoring again to make the score 2-0 by the middle of the second.
