MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After two dominating wins to open up the series, Niners Softball secured their second consecutive conference sweep on Sunday afternoon by shutting out Memphis 4-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
It only took one pitch to get the Niners rolling when Olivia Williams blasted a triple opposite field to open up the game right away. Williams came around two batters later on an RBI single from Jenna Lord that allowed Charlotte to strike first for the third game in a row.
Both Jaylah Jarrell (3) and Jenna Lord (18) hit their second homers of the series, both solo shots, which put the Niners up 3-0 by the 6th inning.
