CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women's tennis swept through all nine of its individual contests, not dropping a set, as the 49ers began the 2020 dual-match campaign with a 7-0 triumph over Queens (N.C.) indoors at Life Time Fitness in south Charlotte.
DOUBLES CLEANS UP
One of the strong suits of last year's success was the ability to jump out in front early by claiming the doubles point, a feat the Niners did 20 times to the tune of an 18-2 record in those matches. That carried over to Saturday's start, as Charlotte dispelled any Royals chances in the opening three contests.
