CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte nearly completed a doubles sweep for the point and then added five more straight-set singles triumphs to garner a 6-1 victory over Marshall Saturday afternoon in the 49ers' first Conference USA match of the campaign.
FROM THE COACH
"We did a really good job in doubles, and in the close moments, fought back at a couple of spots," head coach Anthony Davison said. "And this team (Marshall) was strong in doubles. Then, we hit the ground running in singles, taking a big lead just by imposing ourselves and playing great tennis.
