CHARLOTTE – Despite a standout performance from Jaehshon Thomas, who scored a game-high 18 points, the Charlotte 49ers (7-12, 0-6 AAC) fell to No. 18 Memphis, 77-68, in American Athletic Conference action on Sunday (Jan. 19) afternoon at Halton Arena.
"You know against teams like that, you're going to have to really shoot the ball well and take care of it," said Charlotte Head Men's Basketball Coach Aaron Fearne. "We did not quite do that well enough in the first half."
The Niners outscored the Tigers (15-3, 4-1) 43-36 in the second half, but it was not enough to overcome the 16-point halftime deficit.
