CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Charlotte battled and competed against the No. 9-ranked North Carolina squad for much of the afternoon but two late goals created the final margin, as the Tar Heels claimed a 3-0 result Sunday at Fetzer Field.
"We were very excited to come here and play a top, top team in the country," head coach John Cullen said. "Year-in and year-out, they're always competing for championships. We wanted to test ourselves and knew what we were going to have to do a lot of defending in large parts of the game.
