CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Senior Zach Jarrett posted a three-hit afternoon, drove in four and came up with a clutch three-run homer in the eighth to lead Charlotte in an 8-3 win over UTSA on "Senior Day" Saturday afternoon. The 49ers put an end to the Roadrunners five-game losing streak while snapping their own four-gamer.
Charlotte (28-21, 15-11 C-USA) got on the board with a bang in the second using a five-run frame using a Logan Sherer walk to begin the inning. Reece Hampton followed with a single to right before a Harris Yett plunking loaded the bases for Hunter Jones.
