CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A season-best five-game win streak for Charlotte women's basketball has vaulted the 49ers up the league standings over the past month and slotted the Niners into the No. 7 seed entering next week's conference tournament. Charlotte will take the second-longest current winning stretch of any school to Frisco, Texas, for the Air Force Reserve Conference USA Championships presented by Baylor Scott & White Sports Performance Center at The Star, starting Wednesday, against No. 10-seed Louisiana Tech at 2:30 p.m. ET.
The 49ers, who improved to 17-11 overall and 9-7 in conference games, are coming off a 59-46 triumph over Southern Miss in Thursday's regular-season finale in which they held the Lady Eagles to 31.
