CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Visiting North Carolina scored three runs in the top of the first and never looked back taking a 14-2 victory over Charlotte baseball at BB&T Ballpark on Tuesday night. The 49ers finished the Uptown portion of their schedule 1-1 against the two ACC foes and quickly turn to a Thursday-Saturday Conference USA series with UAB.
"We couldn't keep them off balance," began Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "They got off to a good start and we didn't have an answer from a pitching standpoint. We kind of take two steps forward and one step back every once and a while.
