WILMINGTON, N.C. – Three goals, from three different goal scorers and a dominant defensive effort in the second half propelled the Charlotte men's soccer team past UNCW, 3-1, on Tuesday night in Wilmington.
The result upped the Niner's record to 3-2-0, while the Seahawks fell to 3-2-0 and dropped their second consecutive match.
Charlotte was led by junior Kameron Lacey who slotted home the night's opening goal and was incredibly active in leading the 49er line in his first start of the season.
Senior Joe Brito, finished the night with the match's lone assist, marking the third match in the last four outings that the Bolton, Connecticut native has registered at least a point for the Green & White.
