With just over two months until the start of the 2017 season, NASCAR’s two-year search for a new title sponsor has taken the checkered flag, and sitting in Victory Lane is energy drink company, Monster Energy.
NASCAR CEO Brian France, accompanied by Monster executives, broke the news in a press conference Thursday afternoon in Las Vegas. Monster Energy will take the place of Sprint, which recently ended it’s 13-year tenure as the head sponsor of NASCAR’s top series.
“Monster Energy is a brand built on excitement and enthusiasm, qualities that align with NASCAR,” said Brian France, NASCAR Chairman and CEO.
