Charlotte, N.C. – Charlotte 49ers men's soccer sophomore defender Callum Montgomery was named to the InTouch Credit Union Conference USA All-Academic team. This marks the sixth straight year that the 49ers men's soccer program has had a player named to a league's all-academic team.
Montgomery is a Biology major with a 4.0 GPA. A few weeks ago, Montgomery was named to the CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) Academic All-District team.
This season, Montgomery was named Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week, September 6 after scoring three goals and helping the 49ers record shutout wins over Hofstra and Rutgers.
