CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women’s tennis picked up its second-straight win this week and third consecutive on its home courts as it defeated cross-county rival Davidson 5-2 Friday afternoon at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex. The contest served as the annual Think Pink match for the Niners, who donned special pink uniforms and helped raise awareness for breast cancer research along with university sorority Zeta Tau Alpha.
“We talked about showing up with the momentum coming out of the Campbell match Wednesday,” head coach Michaela Gorman said. “I felt like we did that today. Everyone had great energy and worked well together.
