CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The 19th-ranked Charlotte 49ers men's soccer team gears up for a festive weekend, welcoming UCF, Friday, Sept. 2 at 6 p.m. and Rutgers, Sunday, Sept. 4 at 4 p.m. to Transamerica Field.

Charlotte routed Hofstra in their season opener, 6-0, scoring three goals in each half. Junior forward Marco Sunol-Rojas stole the show, scoring his first two career goals as a 49ers and earning a spot among SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays on August 30 with a bicycle kick goal. Four other 49ers added goals while senior midfielder Brandt Bronico tallied two assists.
