TEXARKANA, Ark. – The Charlotte men's golf team climbed up two spots in Tuesday's final stroke play round of the Conference USA Championship to qualify for match play which begins on Wednesday. The 49ers will enter the semifinals as the #3 seed facing #2 Middle Tennessee for the second-straight year. Semifinal winners will advance to the championship match to take place either Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning to determine the league's automatic qualifier.
John Gough finished tied for second overall after a two-under 70 to finish four-under for the championship. Gough finished strong on the closing nine with a four-under 32 to jump into red figures for the day.
