DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Charlotte men's golf team will carry the overnight lead by one shot over host Davidson in the River Run Collegiate. John Gough, Ben Woodruff and Connor Armistead all sit inside the top-five individually.
Charlotte leads Davidson by one, Furman by two and are five clear of JMU. The 49ers began with a five-under 283 followed by a 294 in round two to carry the overnight lead.
Gough blasted his way up to sit third overall after 36 holes opening with a five-under 67. Gough opened with a couple of birdies on the front side before stringing together four-straight on the back to get to his 67.
