CONCORD, North Carolina – UNC Charlotte student Matt Tifft is continuing to make a name for himself outside of the classroom.
On Tuesday, Tifft – along with several of his young fellow competitors – was announced as one of the eleven drivers signed on as apart of the 2016-2017 NASCAR Next class.
NASCAR Next came to fruition in 2011 as apart of an industry-wide initiative to showcase the talents of some of the brightest rising stars in the sport. To be eligible for a shot at the class, you have to be between the ages of 15-25 and have previously shown and demonstrated the drive and desire to make it to the top.
