CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Senior starter Josh Maciejewski went 8.2 innings on Friday night helping guide Charlotte to a 4-2 victory over WKU in the weekend's series-opener. Maciejewski picked up his seventh win of the year as the Niners won their third-straight overall and five of their last six.
Maciejewski (7-2) scattered two runs, one earned, on his nine hits with four strikeouts. The left-hander faced the minimum in three of his frames which included striking out the side in the eighth. Jonah Patten (7) came in to get a pop out to second ending the night.
