CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte volleyball grinded out a 3-2 (21-25, 25-21, 25-19, 21-25, 15-10) victory over Winthrop on Tuesday night snapping the Eagles nine-match win streak. Freshman Nalani Lyde sparked the offense with a career high 22 kills along with Sydney Rowan's 20.
"We knew Winthrop was going to be good and are ranked top-100 in the country," started Head Coach Karen Weatherington. "We had a lot of folks step up for us tonight and we responded well as a unit. We responded to their tough serve and when we got settled, Annika executed a great match.
