Former Charlotte 49ers men's basketball coach Lee Rose, who has devoted over 50 years to the sport of basketball, has been nominated for enshrinement into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass. The list of candidates for the 2017 class was released by the Basketball Hall of Fame, recently. The list of candidates has a 49ers flavor joining Rose as a candidate is current 49ers coach Mark Price, a former standout NBA guard who played in four All-Stars game during his stellar 12-year NBA playing career.
Rose's impact on the sport spanned every level over six decades, including experience at the high school, NAIA, NCAA Div.
