CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball’s Austin Knight won Conference USA’s Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year honors while Head Coach Robert Woodard took home the Keith LeClair Head Coach of the Year as 16th-ranked Charlotte baseball won 11 all-conference awards announced by league officials on Tuesday afternoon. All-conference selections were voted on by the league’s head coaches, media relations contacts and a media member from each team.
Knight becomes the fifth 49ers' player all-time to win Player of the Year honors and the first since Justin Seager did so back in 2013.
