Charlotte 49ers sophomore standout Chandler Horton (San Clemente, Calif.) was one of six student-athletes named to the 2019 Conference USA Women's Cross Country all-Academic Team.
Horton, who earned Third Team all-Conference USA honors as a freshman in 2018 has been the 49ers top finisher in three of the four races in which she has competed this fall. She ran a personal-best of 21:16.35 in the 6K at the UAB Classic two weeks ago. At last year's league championship, she turned in a personal best 18:03.53 in the 5K meet to place 21st among all runners.
