The Charlotte Hornets were in for a thrashing as the Miami Heat intended to show why they deserved to be the number three seed in the Eastern Conference this postseason. The Hornets struggled to get going throughout the entire night, in fact they were never able to obtain the lead at any point during the game. The Heat came out and scored 41 first quarter points, enough to tie a playoff franchise record from the 2012 NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Hornets didn’t stand a chance in Game one.
Charlotte was only able to outshine the Heat in one category, free throw percentage.
