CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The baseball career of Charlotte catcher Harris Yett will now move into the professional ranks as the senior was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 32nd round of Wednesday's MLB Draft. Yett, who joins former Niners T.J. Nichting and Zach Jarrett in the Orioles organization, becomes the 55th draftee in program history and seventh over the last three years.
Yett ended his collegiate career with another semifinalist spot for the Buster Posey Award and Conference USA first team selection. The backstop hit .325 with eight homers and 39 RBI in his final season.
