CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Behind 12 hits and three home runs from Bailey Vannoy, Cori Henderson and Spenser Gray, the Charlotte 49ers softball team (18-8) overpowered the North Carolina Tar Heels (10-13), 11-4, beating them for the first time since 2014 on Tuesday evening at Anderson Stadium.
The 49ers hit three home runs in the game for the second time this season since game two of the doubleheader against Western Carolina on Feb. 27. Madelyn Wright, Vannoy and Henderson all had a multi-hit game, while Spenser Gray, Vannoy and Henderson collected a multi-RBI game.
