CHARLOTTE – A day after earning her third conference Attack Player of the Week honor, Charlotte Lacrosse's Kylie Gioia has been named USA Lacrosse's National Women's Player of the week for Division 1, the publication announced on Tuesday.
Gioia has been an offensive juggernaut this season for the first-year 49ers, leading the American Athletic Conference with 68 total points on 33 goals and 35 assists. Her points total ranks No. 8 nationally while her league-best assists mark ranks No. 14.
In the win over previously unbeaten league opponent South Florida to earn the honor, Gioia scored a game-high six goals on seven shots with an assist and two draw controls.
