CHARLOTTE — Charlotte Women's Tennis will head to Athens for ITA Kickoff Weekend alongside its Ivy League-heavy schedule for the upcoming spring season.
The 49ers will do so with a bevy of new faces. A year ago, they reached the American Athletic Conference semifinals before falling to No. 3 seed Memphis. Lucia Aranda, Sara Suchankova and Shona Nakano return for Charlotte this season alongside transfer grad student Amira Badawi, sophomore Paula Dougherty and freshmen Prisca Abbas and Ni Xi. The program also expects Yelyzaveta Chainykova to join the spring roster after her pro tour season ends.
