CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the third-straight year joining some elite company in Conference USA, Charlotte libero Yumi Garcia was once again voted as the league's Libero of the Year on Thursday afternoon. Garcia becomes the first in Charlotte volleyball history to win the award three-straight years and just the third in C-USA history.
"It is awe-inspiring to have Yumi honored as she closes out a phenomenal career as the top libero in the nation and history of the program. We are beyond excited to see her as one of three players in C-USA history to receive this award.
