OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Charlotte volleyball's Yumi Garcia was named one of 30 candidates nationwide for the 2019 Senior CLASS Award. These student-athletes are selected based on excelling on and off the court, must be a senior and have notable achievements in four different areas.
BECOMING ELIGIBLE
To be eligible, the student-athlete must have notable achievements in four areas of excellence including community, classroom, character and competition. The acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School (CLASS) focuses on the student-athlete using their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their community.
