ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Charlotte women's tennis swept all four of its singles matches and both doubles contests Sunday, as the 49ers concluded play at the prestigious Wolverine Invitational in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
SINGLES GOES FOUR-FOR-FOUR
All four of the 49ers' triumphs in singles play came in straight sets, including senior Pierina Imparato finishing off a perfect 3-0 weekend. She topped Western Michigan's Kristina Tiraspolsky 6-2, 6-1. Freshman Jenna Dean did not drop a game in blanking the Broncos' Lindsey Ziegler 6-0, 6-0.
The Niners' other rookie, Margaux Maquet, handed WMU's Valerie Riegraf a 6-3, 6-1 setback, while junior Rocio Safont tallied a 6-3, 6-3 decision over Gabriela Slavova.
