In the absence of starting center Al Jefferson, Frank Kaminsky has taken full advantage of the playing time issued by head coach Steve Clifford, putting up a career high 23 points in 31 minutes Wednesday night. But before his playing career in the NBA, Kaminsky was once a young high school basketball player, just waiting for his chance to play in college.
Kaminsky flew under the radar as a three-star recruit coming out of Benet Academy in Lisle, Ill. In high school, Kaminsky was every bit of 6-foot-10, getting recruited by schools such as Wisconsin, DePaul, and Northern Illinois.
