Charlotte, N.C. - Former Charlotte 49ers offensive lineman Nate Davis (Ashburn, Va.), who became the first 49er standout to play in an NFL playoff game, is one win away from a Super Bowl appearance in his memorable rookie season.
Davis, a starting guard for the Tennessee Titans, will take the field, Sunday at 3 p.m. in Kansas City against the second-seeded Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. The Titans have already dispatched the defending Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots and the AFC's top-seeded Baltimore Ravens.
In addition to his starts in the two playoff games, Davis played in 13 regular-season games and started each of the last 12.
