BOCA RATON, Fla. – Redshirt sophomore threw three touchdowns going 14-of-17 with 223 yards and added a rushing score as Charlotte held on to defeat Florida Atlantic 28-23 for their first Conference USA victory of the season. FAU had the ball with six seconds remaining and appeared to score on a final hail mary until replay reviews overturned the call to incomplete. The league contest was played on Sunday afternoon after being postponed from Saturday due to Hurricane Matthew.
"Today was big," started Head Coach . "Those guys are extremely excited. It was a huge moment for us and we've got to continue doing what we did this week in preparing hard and keep practicing hard to give ourselves a chance next Saturday.
