From feeling nothing to everything, Jenna Lord went through it all to play for Courtney Breault.
She’s known injuries throughout her softball career, but one morning during Lord’s freshman year at Alabama was unique. Her back had been bothersome for months, but playing through it was a near-requirement to maintain a spot in the stacked lineup.
Her concern level rose when Lord woke up one without any feeling in her left leg.
A torn labrum as a high school senior was one thing, enduring a feeling of “paralysis” was another. Lord brushed off injuries as if they were nothing, then the feeling of nothing became a concern.
