CHARLOTTE – A six-point game with seven minutes remaining, Florida Atlantic (9-7, 2-1 AAC) pulled away late to take the 75-64 victory over Charlotte Men's Basketball (7-9, 0-3) in American Athletic Conference action at Halton Arena Wednesday (Jan. 8) evening.
"[We] worked much harder tonight, [we] worked really physical, but it's not consistent enough and in a close game like that, which it was pretty close, that's the difference," said Charlotte Head Men's Basketball Coach Aaron Fearne.
The 49ers were outscored 17-0 in points off turnovers, as the Owls converted 13 Charlotte turnovers into points while the Niners could not turn their nine steals into offense.
