CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball out-hit visiting Florida Atlantic 17-13, but it was the Owls who used a six-run top of the sixth to pull away with a 12-5 win on Sunday afternoon.
"We got off to a great start," quipped Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "But, we have struggled most of the year in the middle innings. Our run differential, the middle innings, is where we've struggled and it bit us again today. We can't make these kind of mistakes against really good teams. We have to be more efficient in the middle innings, we have to do a better job in those situations.
