CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women's tennis returned to the outdoor courts at the on-campus Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex Thursday afternoon and the doubleheader started with a 5-2 triumph over Kennesaw State.
DOUBLES DROPS JUST ONE
The 49ers rolled to the doubles point with a dominating win at the No. 1 and No. 2 contests, losing only one game combined in the two matches. The No. 2 duo of sophomores Jenna Dean and Margaux Maquet blanked the Owls' Taylor Dean and Valentina Taddia, 6-0, and the No. 1 tandem of sophomores Kaavya Sawhney and Ruxi Schech handed Paola Cortez and Ji Youn Lee a 6-1 setback.
