DAVIDSON, N.C. – Charlotte women's tennis has surpassed its win total from last spring after the 49ers rolled to a 6-1 victory at Davidson Saturday in the annual meeting between the cross-county foes. It marks the Niners' fourth-straight triumph in the series and ninth in the last 10 meetings.
A thrilling comeback in doubles provided Charlotte (10-6) with the early 1-0 edge. The Wildcats claimed the initial win but the sophomore tandem of Rocio Safont and Emma Scott knotted the scoreboard with its 6-3 victory against Alexandra Abele and Samantha Armas.
