CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball tied a season-high with five runs in the third inning, but a fast start by Coastal Carolina led to a 15-6 win for the Chanticleers on Tuesday night.
"That's a really good team over there in Coastal and we knew that coming in," started Head Coach Robert Woodard. "They forced us to go to our 'pen early and our guys battled, but they put a lot of good at-bats together. The silver lining on all of that is you're going to see a lot about your team. Although the result wasn't what we wanted, there are a lot of positives that will carry us into the weekend and make our guys better.
