Charlotte, N.C. - Five 49ers tallied multi-hit games, but the Charlotte 49ers (11-13, 0-1) dropped its first conference game of the year to Florida Atlantic, 9-5, at Sue M. Daughtridge Stadium on Friday.
Both teams scored a run early in the first inning. Charlotte started with a two-out double by Imani Rochelle in the frame, followed with another double by Anna Devereaux to tie the game at 1-1. The Owls led 2-1 until the third when Cori Henderson led the frame off with a single to left. Henderson was able to get to second on the fumble by the left-fielder, which allowed Bailey Vannoy to pick up her 30th RBI of the season.
