LYNCHBURG, Va. — Danny Yassine's transition to collegiate tennis is off to a roaring start.
He captured wins over Virginia, Elon and Princeton at the Liberty Fall Invite over the weekend to finish his singles slate 3-0. It was part of Charlotte Men's Tennis' first tournament of the fall season. Navy also competed as part of a combined team with Princeton.
The 49ers sent eight competitors to the invite and walked away with 12 total wins, split between eight in singles and four in doubles. The haul included a pair of tandem wins over Virginia on the invite's opening day — the combination of Matias Iturbe and Frederic Schlossmann joined Ivan Dreycopp and Arsene Pougault in the victories.
