DALLAS – Charlotte's cross country program swept the Conference USA Athlete of the Week awards this week, the league office announced on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Senior Paul Arredondo took home the award on the men's side while sophomore Chandler Horton garnered the award for the women. Both had a strong showing at the Iona College Meet of Champions, with Arredondo finishing in fifth place and Horton in 11th place to pace the Niners. This is the program's first weekly award since Caroline Sang was recognized by C-USA on Oct. 17, 2017, and the first sweep since Sept.
