JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - On day one of the NCAA East Preliminaries at the University of North Florida, the Charlotte 49ers men's track and field team saw both Elijah Cole (pole vault) and Nick Scudder (10,000m) qualify for nationals in Eugene, Ore., after placing in the top-12 in their respective events on Wednesday. Four Niners totaled personal records on the day, while Scudder also broke the school record in the 10,000m to close out day one competition.
Freshman Jurcek Korpic Lesjak started the 49ers off with a personal best hammer throw of 62.
