MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Charlotte Men's Tennis fell to host and No. 2 seed Memphis, 4-2, in the American Athletic Conference Championship Quarterfinals on Friday at the Leftwich Tennis Center.
It was a reversal of last year's tournament meeting when the 49ers came back for a 4-3 triumph in the title match as a No. 6 seed.
Charlotte began the day with another comeback.
Memphis took the opening doubles point from the No. 2 slot, 6-3. The 49ers bounced back quickly with wins from No. 3 and No. 1, which clinched the initial tally.
