The Charlotte 49ers returned home and reigned supreme over A-10 foe Dayton, Thursday, March 24. Charlotte hardly needed two hours to sweep the Flyers on the beautiful afternoon but according to head coach Michaela Gorman, it was their hard work in practice that paid off.
“We’ve been working really hard this week,” Gorman said. “We’ve been practicing a little bit extra to make sure we’re ready to go when things get tight and in big pressure situations. And today, we did that.”
The 49ers freshman tandem as well as the Baker/Vonderschmidt duo claimed victory in doubles which pushed Charlotte into a prosperous singles battle.
